Reflection for the video

  • What is your general reflection on the lesson? 
  1. We can use games to motivate students during the teaching process.
  2. Teacher can have student's classmates correct the wrong answers, and then guide the students in practicing correct one
  3. Be mindful of classroom discipline during teaching.
  • What do you think are the strong sides of the lesson?

       Class is highly playful and can motivate students to be active and engaged.

  • What could have been done better?
  1. Disciplinary organization before class is a bit short, and students are not fully focused yet.
  2. In the process of reviewing words using flashcard, some students actively participated and some did not. May teacher lead students to read at first, then play the games.
  3. When students are noisy, and the discipline is chaotic, teacher still did not stop to organize the discipline which may cause unsatisfied inputting result.
  • How does the teacher use visual aids?

teacher ask questions to get the students to answer the flashcard contents and guide them to complete sentences.

  • What error correction strategies does the teacher apply?

After letting the rest of the students tell the correct answer, the teacher then leads the students in practicing the right words or sentences.

Reflection on Lesson 4 video

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wVxDfuuillE&t=14s   What is your general reflection on the lesson?         Students got enough inputting knowledge but were lack of speaking practice.   What do you think about the warmup used by the teacher?         The teacher used flashcards  asking students to identify whether did teacher tell right answer or not.  Instead of answering yes or no, students  clapped  their hands or stamped their feet to answer questions. I think it was interesting but lack of chances to speak.           What lesson transition strategies does the teacher use?         The teacher used colors to divide students into groups that let students prepare to do next steps.  What teaching aids does the teacher use?        Teacher used a small test to help students understand more and transfer the knowledge that belonged to them.  What would you do differently?        I would like to give more chances to students to speak.
